Scrimshaw,
the art of etching on whales tooth or bone was practiced by early
Vineyarders who manned may of the 19th century whaling ships
that sailed out of New England ports and spanned the globe in
search of whales. Today Barlow Designs is the master
at carrying on this art. Their piece are done on polymer which
faithfully reproduces the color and feel of the original but
protects the endangered whale population. Here are five Martha's
